Destination Weddings

We get jokes sometimes that say any wedding that isn't done in your home or personal church is a destination wedding. You are after all going to a destination! This is true, but it isn't quite what people and the wedding industry as a whole are talking about when it comes to destination weddings. Initially, destination weddings all took place far from home with the idea of combining a honeymoon with the ceremony itself. However, today, the definition has changed, evolved, and not all destination weddings have to be far from home. Now, destination weddings can best be described as those weddings that take place at a unique location and that that location was chosen because of its unique attributes.
